A learner should have a good set of skills and characteristics. Characteristics are the abilities, style and set of skills that the student has in order to learn. These can include your studying habits, the way you organize your time, your motivation, etc.

I have my own set of characteristics, I am a good self learner, and I believe this is due to my good reading skills and comprehension of the same, I consider myself to be interpersonal so like to do things by myself. If I don’t understand something I turn to different resources in order to comprehend what is needed.

One of the most important things to be successful in an online course is motivation. We don’t all have the same reason to want to get our education but I believe we all agree that it will make us more competitive in our field. It will raise our possibilities to get better jobs and better pay.

We all have different life routines and as an online leaner you must organize your time to study and get your tasks done in time. I am a mother and I have a full time job it easier for me to study when my kids are in school and I have the house all to myself. Sometimes I must work on my courses late at night when everyone is asleep. Depending on your daily activities you must make time to work on the course. It is not easy but it can be done.

Some people work better in groups and they get in touch with other e mates to clarify doubts. Other like myself, work better on our own. We have a tutor that helps us in case we don’t understand what we need to do.
